Description: The Faris papers represent some of the research that Dr. Dorothy Faris completed throughout her career. The collection includes research conducted on bacteriology, chemistry, and pharmacology. Dr. Faris was also an advocate of the environment. She supported initiatives in the Sawtooths and White Cloud areas. Her research included water surveys on the Portneuf River, Marsh Creek, Pocatello Creek and at Mack’s Inn [Henry’s Fork of Snake River] in 1970. The collections also includes information on the American Association of University Women and other academic societies, and features lecture notes and materials from microbiology classes taught by Dr. Faris throughout her teaching career at Idaho State University.
