Description: The sketches and renderings in this collection represent work from most of Stevenson’s professional career as a costume designer in Hollywood, California. There are early sketches from his internships in the 1920s all the way through his work for Lucille Ball in the 1960s. It should be noted, however, that the collection does not contain work from some of Stevenson’s best-known works such as Citizen Kane and It’s a Wonderful Life, or from The Facts of Life for which he won an Oscar Award with Edith Head in 1961.
